Vinegar Icing

1 c Brown sugar

1 c White sugar

2/3 c Water

1/8 ts Cream of tartar

2 Egg whites, stiffly beaten

1 ts Vanilla

2 tb Vinegar

Bereiding

Combine all ingredients except flavoring and eggs. Boil to soft ball stage (236 F). Pour slowly, beating constantly, onto egg whites. Add flavoring.

Continue beating until thick and creamy.
