Teriyaki mixed grill

Marinade:

1 recipe Teriyaki Sauce

1/3 cup sake

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup mirin (sweet rice cooking wine)

1 1/2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons ginger root



Vlees:

4 fresh tuna steaks, cut 1 inch thick (1 pound total) or

4 beef top loin or tenderloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick (1 pound total) or

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (1 pound total)

Salt and pepper

TERIYAKI MIXED GRILL



1 recipe Teriyaki Sauce

1/3 cup sake

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup mirin (sweet rice cooking wine)

1 1/2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons ginger root

In saucepan combine sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Add ginger; simmer, stirring frequently, another 3 to 4 minutes (sauce will become foamy). Cover and store in refrigerator until ready to use. Makes 1 cup sauce.



4 fresh tuna steaks, cut 1 inch thick (1 pound total) or

4 beef top loin or tenderloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick (1 pound total) or

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (1 pound total)

Salt and pepper



Season tuna steaks, beef steaks, or chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place meat in center of cooking grate. Grill tuna 4 to 6 minutes for medium-rare or 10 to 12 minutes for well-done; turn and brush with Teriyaki Sauce 3 or 4 times during grilling. Grill beef 6 to 7 minutes for rare, 7 to 9 minutes for medium, or 9 to 11 minutes for well-done; turn and brush with Teriyaki Sauce 3 or 4 times during grilling. Grill chicken 10 to 12 minutes; turn and brush with Teriyaki Sauce 3 or 4 times during grilling. To serve, drizzle a few drops of sauce over each piece of meat.
